Hallstatt is a little salt mining village in the Austrian alps at the Hallstatt Lake. A period in the early iron age is named Hallstatt culture and made this village known worldwide. It is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and many thousands of international tourists flood the narrow streets on the small lake shore every year.
