Nandi, the big brass bull sculputure sitting in the temple, can be seen through the western entrance of Pashupatinath in Kathmandu Nepal.The bull is the vehicle of Lord Shiva.
Pashupati is one of the many names of Lord Shiva, which means 'Lord of Animals'. Pashupatinath, the temple and the area surrounding is a part of the World Hheritage site in Kathmandu valley. It is one of the holiest pilgrimage destinations for all Hindus and one of the oldest temples in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva. Every year millions of Hindu pilgrims come to this temple at the banks of Bagmati river, a confluence of the holy Ganges.
