Description
The famous old Louvre museum in Paris is the biggest museum in Europe. It is i.e. the home of the Mona Lisa from Leonardo da Vinci. In contrast to the old building there was built a new entrance from 1985 to 1989. It is a big glass pyramid in the court of the former Royal Palace. In the background, the beginning of the Tuileries Gardens, You can see the 'small' Arc de Triomphe. It was like the big brother built from 1806 to celebrate the victories of Napoleon. It is named after the place where it stands, the Place du Carrousel.
