Description
Great Saint Martin is one of the twelve romanic churches in the city of Cologne. It was built in the 12th century as basilica of a former Benedictine monastery. It was badly damaged in WW II but rebuilt afterwards. The name great is used because there is a second church dedicated to Saint Martin in Cologne.
Besides the famous cathedral it is the second eye-catching building in the city silhouette.
