The Bergpark (mountain park) Wilhelmshoehe of Kassel is Germanys entry to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 2013. This Hercules statue is the top point of the park where the famous waterways start their way descending a long hill through the baroque garden with cascades, waterfalls, roman ruins, fountains and rapids. It was built by Landgrave Carl of Hessen-Kassel in 1689 and was developed further into the 19th century. Reservoirs and channels behind the Hercules supply water to a complex system of hydro-pneumatic devices. I started photographing when I was 16 years old. In the beginning I set the focus to soccer. Four years later I made the photos for the local soccer team and the local newspaper. After having finished my university studies I started traveling. Photographing nature and sometimes city views replaced the soccer engagement. In the 90s I had two exhibitions in the rooms of a Life Insurance in Munich (Carnevale di Venezia and Nepal). The Venice images where used by a big pre press company for a calendar. For 2012 I published my first own calendar about World Heritage Sites of Nature.
