Description
Xanten is a little town at the lower Rhine river in Germany close to the Dutch border. The town has a rich history starting as a Roman harbour called Colonia Ulpia Traiana in the year 110 AD. The Archaeological Park is one of the largest archaeological open air museums in the world. This 'Gothic House' from 1540 is besides the Saint Victor's Cathedral the most impressive building in the medieval center. It was a trading house first, later the Mayor's office and nowadays it is a restaurant.
