Description
Xanten is a little town at the lower Rhine river in Germany close to the Dutch border. The town has a rich history starting as a Roman harbour called Colonia Ulpia Traiana in the year 110 AD. The Archaeological Park is one of the largest archaeological open air museums in the world.
This former flour mill from 1744 was destroyed by a lightning in 1912 and after the reconstruction the Siegfriedmühle is now a restaurant and cafe in the Archaeological Park and called KaffeeMühle (Coffeemill).
